The Greenhouse is used to start our plants in the spring. We typically grow 15 types of vegetables and some of them, like kale, lettuce, eggplant, and peppers, do best when they are started indoors and then transplanted at the optimal time. Other crops, like squash, pumpkins, okra, and Asian Greens can be directly seeded into the field. We have 6 acres of vegetables on the property. We also use the greenhouse as storage for our garlic and onion crop. These items require a hot dry place to cure before being sold or stored.
