These are Villard Blanc grapes. They are also French-American Hybrids. They are prolific in our area and are naturally Pierce’s Disease Resistant. Pierce’s Disease is the biggest threat to our grape industry in North Carolina. Because we no longer have cold winters, we expect to only grow Pierce’s Disease Resistant grape varieties in the future.
